James KIRTS, 85, for many years a resident and well-known farmer of the Rainsville community died at 2:25 Friday morning at the home of his son, William C. Kirts, eas tof Attica.
Mr. Kirts was born Aug 18, 1853, in Douglas County, Ill. Early in life he was united in marriage to Rosetta Bevers, who survives.
Besides the widow, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mandie Myers of Demotte, Ind; and four sons: William C with whom he made his home; Robert of California; Frank of near Crawfordsville and George north of WIlliamsport.
The body was taken to the Coffing & Robinson Funeral Home where it was prepared for burial and returned to the home of the son at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. Funeral rites wer eheld at 2 Sunday afternoon from the Rainsville Church with Elder A.W. Jackman officiating.
Interment was made in Rainsville Cemetery with COffing & Robinson in charge.. - typed by kbz
